Earthworks at Cromford Mill

Earthworks is a group of ceramists, me being one, with links to the University of Derby. We will be having a selling exhibition of our work at the World Heritage Site of Cromford Mill. More details will follow in the near future.
Wood fired kiln build update
Although it might seem that not much has happened since my last news article a great deal of fiddly work has been done.
The 5th course of bricks (see larger image) is an important one as it includes the fire bars. Behind each of these is a removeable piece of brick which will allow them to be replaced if necessary.
The 6th course is in place although the gap between the outer and inner skin needs to be filled.
Work will now be put on hold until after the festive season.
