Statement

The way that I work is based upon the philosophy of coexisting with
nature in a sustainable way & having the least possible negative
impact upon the environment.

Most of what I make is ‘thrown’ on a potter’s wheel and often then altered.

Shape, which should feel modern and balanced, is important along with the need for my pots to be functional.

Decoration is minimal - a few marks made when the clay is wet which will let glazes to pool or break to create a beautiful surface.

Contrasts, including rough and smooth or round and angular, are of interest to me and often feature in my work.
